Author Guidelines

The Continuous Nutrition Journal (RNC), the official scientific publication of the Center for Research and Continuous Nutrition (CINC), is committed to upholding the highest standards of scientific quality and integrity. To ensure your manuscript moves quickly to the peer-review stage, please follow these requirements closely:

File Preparation and Identity Management

For a transparent and efficient workflow, all submissions must consist of three separate Microsoft Word files:

The Main Manuscript: This file must be completely anonymized (no author names or institutional references) and formatted strictly according to the RNC Official Template.

The Identity Sheet: This separate document should include the full title, names of all contributors with their institutional affiliations, validated ORCID IDs for every author, and contact details for the corresponding author.

Letter of Originality and Copyright Transfer: This mandatory file must specify each author’s contribution using the CRediT taxonomy, along with disclosures regarding funding sources and any potential conflicts of interest.

Technical Standards and Editorial Style

The formal quality of your work is the first step toward acceptance.

Structure: Research articles must follow the international IMRaD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).

Length and Formatting: Manuscripts should be between 3,000 and 8,000 words, set in Arial 11 with single spacing.

Abstracts: Include a structured abstract of no more than 250 words, a technical English translation (Abstract), and standardized keywords using DeCS or MeSH descriptors.

Citations and Bibliographic Integrity

Our journal strictly follows APA 7th Edition style.

DOI Requirement: Every bibliographic reference must include its corresponding DOI as a full link.

Currency: The bibliography should reflect the current state of the art, prioritizing high-impact academic sources published within the last five years to ensure scientific relevance.

Visual Elements and Reproducibility

Integration: Tables and figures must be placed directly within the manuscript text where they belong.

Resolution: Images must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and be submitted in editable formats (not static images) to assist in the layout process.

Transparency: We encourage authors to include supplementary files, such as primary datasets or extra materials, to support the reproducibility of the study.

Submission Process via OJS

Submissions are handled exclusively through the journal’s editorial portal.

Metadata Management: After logging in, the system will guide you through several stages.

Accuracy: You must manually enter the information for all co-authors, the title, and the abstract exactly as they appear in your manuscript. This precision is vital for correct indexing in international databases once published.

Ethics and Plagiarism Detection

The RNC follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles.

Technical Triage: Every manuscript undergoes a technical screening and similarity check using specialized software within 5 business days.

Rejection Criteria: Submissions that exceed allowed similarity limits or show signs of scientific misconduct will be rejected immediately.

Peer Review: Papers that pass this integrity filter move on to a Double-Blind Peer Review process, where external experts evaluate the quality and original contribution of the research.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will be returned to the authors.
